Today we made slideshows for our 2016 review in a slideshow it shows the songs we like. The subjects we liked and the food we liked. The easy part was putting the photos and knowing what subject we liked. The hard part was finding out what kind of food we like and what songs we liked.

Today the whole class made some popup cards for the people who help us every day and work every day, even on Christmas Day!

I wrote a letter to st John for looking after people who are sick and St Johns takes them to the hospital as fast as they can. The easy part was writing the card. The hard part was making my decoration pop.

This week I have been learning how to make patterns without getting pictures of the internet. It was hard to make the patterns because there weren't that much things to make a pattern with. The easy part was the big shapes that we put on the drawing. because we just used simple shapes and squiggles.

Today I learned how to measure the area and perimeter of a skate park. It was a bit tricky but then I got it. The perimeter and area was easy to get but measuring was the hardest.

Reflective blog

I have been learning about perimeter and area and to measure the interior and exterior of a shape. We made a tiny house by drawing some blueprints and measuring out the area and perimeter of the walls. Roof and base of the house then we put it together and made the furniture.

 

This week we rewrite a story about tiny boy that crashed on a plane you can watch the video before u read it.

On a Monday evening a boy called Michael made a red and white plastic crop duster but then he kept on failing. He did not no what was going on. Then there was this crystal blue suitcase that smashed his head outta nowhere then a wooden boat looking plane crashed into the tree then Michael got frightened of the tiny girl. He screamed like a cat, the girl got scared, she wielded the pencil and dropped it on the ground.

She tried to push back over her wooden boat plane thing but then  smashed the propeller. The wings got destroyed. The steering wheel fell off too then the girl started crying. The boy had an idea. He put the steering wheel back on and fixed the wings and the propeller. He threw it

then it fell straight to the ground and smashed into smithereens.

You alright? wondered Michael. She shrugged her shoulder and dusted herself off because she was shy and covered in a light brown dust. Then the plane blueprints  flew into Michael's face. Then he had a brilliant idea. He repaired everything with parts off his red and white crop duster and he used the the aircraft plans as a parachute to support him up into the air. As she was leaving he noticed that the boy was not scary and she started to like him. Then SMASH!!!!! Michael heard a loud noise, he started to panic but all it was, was his crop duster falling onto the ground. He saw her soaring into the sky like a hot air balloon floating in the air. Later he saw a  aircraft falling out of the sky. He tried to get a good glance at the wooden and plastic plane. His Dad came over and said out loud, Eah!!! “ What are up to,  we are off home now’’,  but the boy was just day dreaming at night.

He saw all of the stars that the girl put out to give him a signal, but sadly he did not see the signal.  Dad said, “ Hurry up we are off home now, far out!

I have been learning how to speak clearly and make eye contact to the crowd. Without looking at the words the hard part was turning on the mic and knowing when to go up. On stage but then it got really easy the good part was that we had the Chromebook to help us.

I have been learning how to put detail into my piece of writing I use high level words and describing words for my story and similes which help me in my story and other things. I need to learn not to put more than two of the same words in one sentence.

              Race day

On Monday I was practicing my underwater race so I can get better than Mata and Joseph because they're way better than me.I can't even swim down and grab the rock.They are like a shark that can walk underwater and pick up huge rocks.I am like a  dog that can't last 10 seconds underwater. 2 weeks later I finally grabbed that rock it took me ages to get that rock. Then Mata and Joseph came they took my rock right when I got all energetic but then I grabbed the rock threw it away and glided like a bird in the air towards the rock. When I picked it up I started running with a little bit of oxygen left and I ran away like an underwater crab fleeing across the ocean. Then finally I got away then started floating up I just made without with no oxygen then I caught my breath and had to swim 1 kilometer home but I caught a ride back with Mata and Joseph.

I made a little google slide for a Matariki feast and I learnt how to find Maori words on a Chromebook Then I used the words to write Maori sentences.

I made a little poem about my house.

Today I learnt how to write personification poems and I created a little poem about my house.

I have been learning my vowels and I made a sound book to help me.

My chocolate family

Dad is the tough frozen dairy milk chocolate because he is the hard and tough one.

Mum is the caramel chocolate because she is as sweet as caramel chocolate.

Zowyn is the rough picnic bar because he is always being rough and energetic every day like a bumpy and rough picnic bar.

6. Sail across on the abandoned boat northeast to washing machine cave 2 on the desert island.
7. Grab the key on the southeast side of the washing machine cave. Unlock the treasure chest behind the lava tree.
